Enjoy Symphony Under the Stars at Liberty Park, 225 E Iredell Avenue, Mooresville, North Carolina, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 7 p.m.
This is a free event.
The concert features Lake Norman Philharmonic, which will perform several patriotic music selections, including pieces such as Fanfare 250, Flight of Valor, and Into the Storm.
Featured performer is Soprano Lydia Grace Goldie, from Lexington, Kentucky. Lydia is the first-place winner of the 2026 Heafner/Williams Vocal Competition in Lincolnton.
She will perform God Bless America and a selection from The Sound of Music. The Langtree Charter Academy Upper School Choir and soloist Clara Krebs will perform I Dreamed a Dream with the orchestra. Guest conductors Dave Ellis and Charity Olds will each lead patriotic selections familiar to audiences.
After the concert, enjoy an America 250 Drone Show! Hundreds of illuminated drones will tell teh story of America and celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history.
Bring a chair or blanket, come early, grab a spot on the lawn and pick up dinner from one of the food trucks. Beverage vendors will also be on hand.
