
Charlotte Blues Society is presenting their second Southern Resonance Roots Festival on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts, 1030 Woodward Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina.
There are two parts to the festival this year:
- Southern Resonance Roots: Showcase on the Lawn, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. (FREE)
- Southern Resonance Roots: In the Skyline Room, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (Tickets required)
Showcase On the Lawn
12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Spend your afternoon soaking up the sun and dancing on the lawn to five back-to-back sets of soulful, toe-tapping music from regional standouts on the outdoor stage. The lawn will be a vibrant hub of activity, featuring the Bojangles’ mascot, a curated lineup of local vendors, festival merchandise, and raffles. Whether you’re here for the music or the artisan market, the daytime program is designed for everyone—kids and pets are welcome. (Please bring your own chair).

- 1:30 p.m.: Susanne Smith
- 2:30 p.m.: Fairlight and the Magick
- 3:30 p.m.: Matt Walsh and the Movers
- 4:30 p.m.: Martin & Phillips Blues Revue
In the Skyline Room
6:30 to 8 p.m.

As the sun goes down, the energy goes up. The festival moves indoors to the Skyline Room for an exclusive, ticketed headliner show featuring the incredible Selwyn Birchwood. Known for his high-octane blend of blues, swamp boogie funk, and psychedelic rock, Birchwood delivers a performance that demands to be experienced live.
