
The Japan-America Society of North Carolina and the Japanese Cultural Association of the Carolinas are hosting Haru Matsuri — Japanese Spring Festival on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m., at Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1001 Queens Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
A matsuri is a Japanese festival, often celebrated with dance and music. Haru means spring.
Admission is free, but please register at the above link.
At this Japanese Spring Festival, enjoy cultural performances, a kimono fashion show, community dance, baked goods and homemade items for sale (cash or Venmo only), children’s activities and more.
Children’s activities include origami, coloring, and chigiri-e (a Japanese art form that uses colored paper torn to create images.)

Parking is available at the church, on the other side of Queens Rd., and along Edgehill Rd. Parking is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.
