Cemeteries can feel eerie in the daylight. But after sunset, when the gates close, the shadows lengthen, and the voices of the living begin to fade… imagine walking among those who never left.

Voices From The Past AFTER DARK returns to Historic Elmwood Cemetery for its third Halloween event, transforming the 173-year-old grounds into a haunted stage where murders, tragedies, cold crime cases, and long-buried secrets rise from Charlotte’s past.

Some stories are too dark to tell in the daylight. AFTER DARK are the true, haunting stories that you would never hear at the annual Voices From The Past living history event, which will take place in April, 2027.

As night settles over Elmwood Cemetery, hear chilling accounts of murders, victims, tragic or horrific accidents ending one’s life too soon. Through the voices of the men and women who now lie beneath its ancient grounds, costumed storytellers bring these haunting true stories to life, drawing audiences deeper into Charlotte’s darkest past. For one unforgettable night, the dead return.

Adding to your thirst to connect with the spirits of Elmwood, the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society will be on-site with its ghost-hunting high-tech gadgets.
