Celebrate Labor Day at U.S. National Whitewater Center Sunday, September 1st, 2013, with a 5K, 15K, live music, fireworks and a “Build Your Own Boat” competition. The two trail races do have fees associated with them. The rest of the activities are free. Parking costs $5. The headlining musical act is Dirty Guv’nahs, who perform at 8pm. Two other musical acts (TBA) will perform at 4pm and 6pm. Fireworks will be set off at dusk.

The 2nd Annual Build Your Own Boat competition is free to enter. Build your own boat at home and race it down the Class IV whitewater in a competition against other boat-builders. Read the rules before you start tying knots.

9:00 a.m. – Labor Day 5K and 15K trail races
3:30 p.m. – VIP section opens
4:00 p.m. – The Railers
6:00 p.m. – Mockingbird Sun
8:00 p.m. – The Dirty Guv’nahs
9:30 p.m.  – Fireworks display
