Summer Residency Showcase at Goodyear Arts

Opening Goodyear Arts is a program that sets up shop in underused buildings and offers artists residencies for two months. In addition to the studio space, the artists are paid a stipend. The artists’ work often extends to alteration of the building itself.

At the end of the residencies, Goodyear Arts hosts a celebration where the public can see the artists’ work. In addition, the events often include music and dance.

Goodyear Arts is at Camp North End. The official address of Goodyear Arts is 1720 Statesville Avenue, but you’d do just as well plugging 1824 Statesville Avenue, Camp North End’s address, into your phone. The best place to park is “The Mount” parking lot. Just follow the signs.

Goodyear Arts hosts other art and music events as well.

Boileryard district: 1824 Statesville Avenue
Mount district: 1774 Statesville Avenue
Keswick district: 1801 N. Graham Street
Garage: 120 Razades Way (first 3 hours free)
