
The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, directed by Frances Blaker, performs Baroque music on period instruments.
The ensemble is presenting a free concert, “Magnificent Orchestral Music of the Baroque.” The program includes an exciting concerto for 2 violins and cello by Vivaldi, a set of instrumental Sinfonias by J.S. Bach featuring a variety of instruments including viola d’amore and viola da gamba, and 2 Concerti Grossi by J.D. Heinichen which features the baroque winds.
The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated.
