
The Levine Center for the Arts’ Wednesday Night Live takes place every Wednesday evening.
The three museums that are part of Levine Center for the Arts — Mint Museum Uptown, The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture — are free to visit every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Levine Museum of the New South has also joined the event, at its location at the former Wells Fargo Museum, 401 S Tryon Street.
In addition, there will free entertainment programming at one of the museums or at Knight Theater.

Film Screening: Farming While Black

Free screening of the documentary Farming While Black, followed by a talkback featuring local Black farmers and activists. Special guest, the film’s co-producer Lynn Waymer, will provide a deeper context for the film and its production process. Guests will participate in the larger conversation about the challenges and importance of land cultivation in historical and contemporary Black culture. Panelists include the Deep Roots CPS Farm family. A special plant-based art installation by Root Papi will accompany the program.

Electricidad by Three Bone Theatre

Get a sneak peek of Three Bone Theatre’s “Electricidad,” written by Luis Alfaro and directed by Glynnis O’Donoghue. This is the second play in Alfaro’s trilogy. “Electricidad” reimagines the Greek classic of Electra by Sophocles through the lens of contemporary Chicano and Latino communities in Los Angeles.
