Star Wars Day
If you or someone you spend time with is a true Star Wars fan you know the significance of Monday, May 4th, otherwise known as May the Fourth (be with you.) Star Wars Day is a day for celebrating all that is Star Wars. Here are some Star Wars themed events going on around Charlotte. Make sure to check the dates and follow the links. Some are not exactly on May the Fourth.

  • The first 100 guests who make a purchase from Disney Store at either Concord Mills or Carolina Place on May 4th will receive a free gift that’s “out of this world.” Stores open at 10:00 a.m.
  • Books-a-Million is hosting a Star Wars celebration on Saturday, May 2nd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a costume contest, trivia contest and other Star Wars themed activities. This is also Free Comic Book Day, so bring home a freebie. Find your closest Books-a-Million.
  • Monday Movies: Beatties Ford Road Library will screen a Star Wars movie and provide light refreshments from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 2nd, and Spandex City Comics will focus on Star Wars. The Imperial Stormtroopers will be on site.
  • Toys-R-Us: On Sunday, May 3rd, make and take a LEGO Star Wars Mini Wookie Gunship. It’s free. Come in costume and get your picture taken with Geoffrey.
