
The first University City Juneteenth Art Fest, presented by University City Partners, takes place Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Shoppes at University Place, 8801 JM Keynes Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
This event is free to attend, and will include:

- GB3, viral recording artist redefining hip-hop with their electrifying blend of rock punk and rockstar energy creating a bold immersive experience that captivates inspires
- DEVN, local multi-instrumentalist R&B veteran and guest performer with Lute at Dreamville 2021, 2023, and 2024
- Tracei, emerging Florida rapper and Johnson C. Smith graduate using her voice to advocate for the voiceless
- Ayah the Light, viral RnB sensation will be bringing her “Good Vibes” and healing music
- TwinNation Dance Crew, professional dancers/twins Santae and Sanwone Benjamin, who’ve performed at the Super Bowl and World of Dance
- Boris “Bluz” Rogers, Emmy Award winner, Slam Master of Slam Charlotte, and Poet Laureate for the Harvey B. Gantt
- Jay Ward, National Slam champion, Individual World Poetry Slam champion, and Charlotte’s inaugural Poet Laureate
- Nira Love, owner of Nira Love’s Fashion Brand, boutique owner and celebrity stylist will produce the Juneteenth-themed fashion show
- Mimi V, local artist performing all over Charlotte and in 2023 released her first EP, “Transitions”
- DDA Tink, soulful hip hop artist and songwriter with the ability to alternate from rap to harmonizing hooks; labeled “the quiet storm”
- Kingston “Drummer King” Price, 9, has wowed audiences with his drumming at Charlotte SHOUT, CLT Kids Fest, Charlotte Knights games, UCity Lights, and more.
- DJ Claude Whitfield, founder of Backspinz Music Academy and community musical activist nurturing the next generation of musicians
- DSquared², a dynamic saxophonist blending Jazz, Afrobeats, and R&B, with standout performances at the Unplugged Series and the 2025 Charlotte Wine and Hops Fest
- Katris “Ms. Pillowalks” Wright, the official cohost of the Juneteenth Art Fest, is an award-winning podcast host, media personality, and talent coach known for her dynamic presence on red carpets and syndicated radio
- Dru Billions, owner of Uptown Inde, and official emcee of the Juneteenth Art Fest!
