The Spoke Easy, at 1530 Elizabeth Avenue, is both a bicycle shop and a bar. So you can buy a bike and a beer. They also do bike repairs here.

The Bike Around the World features a film from a specific country, complemented by a potluck.
The next stop is Vietnam! The movie is Cyclo (1995) written and directed by Tran Anh Hung.
Ho Chi Minh City, 1995: a young cyclo driver works tirelessly to support his family, but they, too, understand the meaning of sacrifice. His older sister studies in the morning and works in restaurant kitchens until late at night; the youngest shines shoes on the street; and their grandfather wears himself out pumping up bicycle tires by the roadside. When the young man’s work tool is stolen, he is forced to take his first step into the world of illegality. His employers will then push him further and further. Up to the breaking point?
This event is potluck style, so feel free to make a tasty Vietnamese dish to share!
