
Carolina Theatre CLT, at 230 N Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, has recently been restored to its former glory, after being closed for 47 years. Keep reading for some pictures!
In the 1960s, The Sound of Music ran for 79 straight weeks at the Carolina Theatre. More than 400,000 people attended, which was larger than Charlotte’s population at the time.
On June 28, 2025, for one day only, Carolina Theatre is bringing back The Sound of Music. There will be two screenings, a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. sing-along version.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10 a.m., and the first 100 people will receive tickets for $5. Buy tickets here, when available.
