Lazy 5 Ranch, 15100 Mooresville Road, Mooresville, North Carolina, is a privately owned, drive-thru safari featuring antelope, deer, elk, sheep, goats, kangaroos, camels, giraffes and many more animals.
Visitors can ride a wagon or drive their own cars through the safari, while feeding the animals.
Lazy 5 Ranch is hosting Teacher Appreciation Days on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, 2025:
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 to 5 p.m.
During these days, admission will be free for teachers and their families (immediate family only.) Please bring school ID.
Wagon rides will be first-come, first-served. Arrive by 4 p.m. if you want a wagon ride. Please note that wagon rides are canceled if the temperature reaches 94 degrees, and you’ll need to drive through.
