Summer Send-Off at Carolina Raptor Center Aug. 2: Free admission for teachers, and free ice pops for first 400 guests

Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Road, Huntersville, North Carolina, is hosting a special Summer Send-Off event on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is FREE for teachers with school ID, and regular price for everyone else.

The event includes:

Free ice pops for the first 400 guests
Water play
Hands-on activities
Watching the raptors enjoy ice enrichments treats
11 a.m.: Meet a Raptor
1 p.m.: Bird Show (watch the birds fly!)
2:30 p.m.: Keeper Chat

Ages 23-64: $16
Ages 13-22: $14
Ages 3-12: $12
Under 3: Free
Ages 65+: $14
Military: $14
Teachers: $14 (except for this event!)
Members of Indigenous Tribal Nation: Free
Participating in SNAP/EBT or WIC: Free for family of four
