
The Schiele Museum of Natural History is celebrating the partial solar eclipse with a weekend of special activities. All of the events of Solar Eclipse Weekend are included in regular museum admission, which is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 65+, $6 for youth 4-18, and free for kids 3 and younger.

Hours of the Special Events:
- Saturday, April 6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sunday, April 7, 1 to 4 p.m.
- Monday, April 8, 12 to 4 p.m.
The eclipse will take place on Monday, April 8, 2024, with maximum visibility at 3:11 p.m.
In addition, there will be a great lineup of planetarium shows, including Totality, during Solar Eclipse Weekend. Tickets for the planetarium shows are $5.
During Solar Eclipse Weekend:
- Look through solar-safe viewing equipment like sun spotters and pinhole projectors
- Participate in hands-on activities related to the moon and sun with astronomy experts
- Buy Schiele solar eclipse glasses at the front desk for $3, while available
- On Monday, April 8, get a free treat from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, while available.
