QC Family Tree is hosting an artist talk for the group exhibition, Egbe: Soul Family, and Rhizome Arts Market on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. It takes place at The Arts Factory, 1545 W Trade Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, and is free to attend.
Sit down for a conversation with local artists Nellie Ashford, Yazz Atmore, Monique Norris and Tiffonye’ Wilkins, alongside their residency mentors, Jasiatic Usher and Michael Maxwell.
‘Egbe: Soul Family’ is a group exhibition presented by the Spring 2026 Culture Bearers in culmination of their 10 week creative residency.
Over the course of a 10-week residency, the artists have spent time in and out of the studio exploring ideas surrounding family, soulmates, good friends, Yoruban spirituality, and more. Their original artworks will line the walls of The Arts Factory.
Shop original art and handmade goods from the Rhizome Arts Market set up in the lobby. Each month the QC Family Tree Rhizome artists come together to present themed market events with new and favorite artworks available for sale. This month the theme is: Walk Good.
