Repair Café is in full swing in Charlotte! What is Repair Cafe? It’s an event where people who have broken items bring them in and volunteers help repair them.
So, not only do you get stuff fixed, saving money, but you also keep the items out of the landfill. And you can learn repair skills!
You can bring in small appliances, lamps, jewelry, fans, clocks, toys, electronics, bicycles, furniture, clothing and more.
Repair Café Charlotte takes place at Innovation Barn, 932 Seigle Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Do you have repair skills? Repair Cafe needs volunteers! Email repaircafeclt@gmail.com.

What is Innovation Barn?

Innovation Barn is the home of Circular Charlotte, a joint project with the City of Charlotte to help transition Charlotte to a circular economy — meaning that instead of going to the landfill, items are repurposed for reuse.
There’s a lot going on at Innovation Barn, including an aquaponics lab, a mushroom lab, black soldier fly production, and more. Solid waste from the community goes to a variety of labs where it’s processed and turned into products for the community.
Public tours are available.
