Free prom dresses on April 4 at Curvaceous Behavior's Prom Project (registration required)

Curvaceous Behavior is hosting its 5th Annual Prom Project on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (at Camp North End), 1701 N Graham Street, Charlotte, North Carolina.

At this event, high school juniors and seniors can pick out FREE prom dresses and accessories.

Registration is required. There are two time slots, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 to 4 p.m. The morning session is filled up, but there are some spots left in the afternoon session. Register here.

If the second session fills up, please check out Lydia’s Prom Closet. You can “shop” for free prom dresses and accessories every Saturday through April 25, except April 4.

A parent or guardian is required to attend with the student.

Guests can expect:

Access to 500+ free prom dresses (sizes 00–26, new and gently used)
A welcoming, uplifting environment where students are celebrated and supported
Raffles for free services such as hair, makeup, and nails
Local vendors (jewelry, matcha/lemonade, shea butter, and more)
A short empowerment panel to inspire confidence and self-worth

Volunteers are needed! The organization is looking for support with:

Dress sorting leading up to the event
Day-of event assistance (check-in, dress distribution, etc.)
