Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is an adult concert band in the Charlotte area, serving Cabarrus, North Mecklenburg, Rowan, and Iredell Counties, as well as the Lake Norman region.
The Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is a performance oriented, non-profit 501c(3) organization comprised of volunteer musicians. The band presents concerts in the spring, fall and Christmas seasons. The band also performs at other special events in the area such as outdoor celebrations in the park and for other events upon invitation.
Musicians range in age from accomplished high school musicians to silver seniors.

The next performance by Piedmont Prime Time Community Band is its fall concert, which will take place on Sunday, October 24th, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Kannapolis Middle School (the 7th/8th grade building), 1000 Virginia Dare Street, Kannapolis.

The Band is proud to announce that they will premier an original score entitled “Little Sadie,” a work commissioned for the band and written by nationally recognized composer, Ed Kiefer. Mr. Kiefer will be at the concert to guest conduct “Little Sadie” and two other pieces of music which he composed.
Mr. Kiefer is a native of the Carolinas and holds music degrees from Greensboro and Wake Forest Universities. In addition to composing new music, he teaches classes in conducting, music history, composition, and jazz and trumpet performance. His over 40 compositions are performed by bands throughout the United States. Mr. Kiefer is known for incorporating new musical themes into traditional folk melodies. “Little Sadie” is an example.
