Several regional children’s choirs will be performing in a free concert on Saturday, March 15th, 4pm, at University City United Methodist Church, 3835 West W.T. Harris Boulevard. More info: The Piedmont invitational brings together children’s choirs from across North Carolina to study choral arts instruction with a nationally known conductor. Through the Festival, children are exposed to high quality, innovative and energetic repertoire, with nationally and internationally recognized guest clinicians. This year, Tom Shelton a Greensboro native is the guest clinician. The groups perform for and with one another in a concert on Saturday March 15, 2014. Choirs participating are :Greensboro Youth Chorus, Central Carolina Children’s Choir, Winston Salem Youth Chorus, Capital City Children’s Chorus and the host choir is the Charlotte Children’s Choir.
