Kick off the 2025 international Piece for Peace movement with a mural walk! Join artist Sydney Duarte and ArtWalks CLT for a guided ArtWalk on Friday, May 16, at 6:30 pm.
What to expect for the Piece for Peace ArtWalk:
- Explore Luminous Lane murals with the curator of the over 45 murals and learn more about the story behind some of the murals
- Hear from artist Sydney Duarte about the Piece for Peace movement and see the 2024 murals created as part of the inaugural celebration
- Be engaged and active with an international art community and support your local art community
This 1 hour and 15-minute ArtWalk begins and ends at Luminous Lane. Gather on the sidewalk at the 3rd Street entrance around 6:25 pm. Light rail access is from the Blue Line at either the Transit Center or Convention Center with a short walk. On street paid parking is available through the Park Mobile app.

This free art celebration is for all ages and takes place at TAOH, an outdoor mural gallery in NoDa.
The schedule:
- 12 to 4 p.m.: Live painting with 20 artists
- 1 to 4 p.m.: Limited edition Peace shirt release + design your own apparel with the 704 Shop. You can buy a blank shirt to design, or bring your own.
- 2 to 4 p.m.: Spray Paint Workshop
- 12 to 2 p.m.: Creative Art Workshop — chalk, community mural, crayons, paint…
- 12 to 4 p.m.: Wildflower and tree planting workshop
- 12 to 4 p.m.: Food trucks and live music

Piece for Peace is a Global Movement with Charlotte roots, dedicated to uniting and uplifting humanity through art and creativity. By amplifying the power of collective expression, we’re channeling creative energy toward a brighter future for Humanity. We invite everyone to contribute their unique puzzle piece and splash of color to the shared vision of World Peace.
In 2024, creatives from 28 different countries joined the Piece for Peace Movement to share their unique Peace themed masterpieces around the Globe. Sydney Duarte and Treazy Treaz brought local and International artists together to transform the streets of Uptown Charlotte with large scale peace themed murals at Luminous Lane and co-founded the TAOH outdoor Gallery with Osiris Rain (Charlotte’s first Graffitti, Public art & Sculpture Park) in the Historic Arts District of NoDa.

The park breathes life into Charlotte’s artistic landscape. Crafted as a communal sanctuary, the gallery embodies the spirit of inclusivity, instilling a profound sense of belonging and pride within the community. With 25+ canvases, standing 8 feet tall and varying in width from 8ft – 44ft. The space is ever evolving with unique artworks coming to life weekly from a wide array of artists with different styles and backgrounds – ranging from graffiti productions, murals, chalk art, sculptures, interactive pieces like the tree swing, twister, hopscotch and more! Creatives come to create from across the country (California, Colorado, New York, Tennessee, Louisiana) and across the pond with the United Kingdom, Germany, Nicaragua, Mexico and Australia!
