The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, directed by Frances Blaker, performs Baroque music on period instruments.
The ensemble is presenting a free concert, Hello Summer!, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 3 p.m., at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, 100 N Main Street, Davidson, North Carolina.
Wear something fun and summery and join the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra as the orchestra celebrates the beginning of summer with concerts of virtuoso baroque music, including Spring and Summer from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons.”
In addition to the stunning “Seasons,” the program includes Bach’s violin concerto in A minor and some fun 17th century Ciaconnas!
These concerts feature violinists David Wilson, Jeanne Johnson and Janelle Davis and violist Asa Zimmerman. The continuo team is cellist Barbara Krumdieck, harpsichordist Barbara Weiss and NCBO is pleased to have William Simms join us on theorbo and baroque guitar.
