
The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, directed by Frances Blaker, performs Baroque music on period instruments.
North Carolina Baroque Orchestra Chamber Players, with special guests, Sarah Lynch, soprano and Charles Humphries, countertenor, present Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” and Songs by Henry Purcell.
British countertenor Charles Humphries and Davidson-based soprano Sarah Lynch join the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra for performances of the sublimely beautiful and emotional “Stabat Mater” by Pergolesi. The program also includes some favorite songs by Henry Purcell including his famous “Cold Genius.”
The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated.
