Krampus is a not-so-beloved figure in Central European literature. You could say he’s Santa’s enforcer, or the evil side of Santa. He’s not that nice of a guy.
We’ve put together a huge day-by-day list of holiday events in the Charlotte area, including parades, markets, Santa visits, tree lightings, Hanukkah parties, Kwanzaa celebrations and more! We are updating it every day.
He’s going to be in NoDa during the 7th Annual Krampus Krawl on Saturday, December 11th, 2021.
He’ll visit various NoDa venues. He will be in outdoor spaces this year. It’s hard to predict exactly where and when Krampus will show up, but his helpers have set up the following events, so, keep your eyes open for him. (You can’t miss him.)
- 6 p.m.: Krampus will emerge from his lair beneath Canvas Tattoo, 3012 N. Davidson Street. The Get Dead Crew will be doing face painting.
- 6:30 p.m.: Live music at JackBeagles NoDa, 3213 N. Davidson Street. Enjoy traditional Krampus carols, as well as rock, hip hop, and maybe some 80s covers. Music by UltraLush (6:30 p.m.), Evergone (8:30 p.m.) and Blckfriend (10:30 p.m.)
- 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.: The Get Dead Crew will be at NoDa Company Store, 3221 Yadkin Avenue, Charlotte, to do face painting. They’ll help you to become Krampus.
- 8:30 p.m.: Live music by It’s Snakes! at NoDa Company Store.
Please note that this schedule is a little bit different from what we originally published, based on the information available at the time. It is probably correct now. But in any case, it all takes place in a small area in NoDa, so you should have no problem seeing Kraumpus, enjoying live music, and participating in the festivities if you just get yourself down to NoDa the evening of December 11th, 2021.
If you see him coming, and you’re “nice,” asked one of the Krampus wranglers for a free magical elf halo that will protect you from Krampus’ wrath. If you’re “naughty” ask for a set of horns. I honestly don’t know what will happen to you, but Krampus might let your loved ones take a picture to remember you by.
A few years ago we inadvertently ran into the Krampus while innocently minding our own business.
