New Remixes vs. Old School Music is a FREE music education program, offered to the public for all ages at VisArt Video, 3104 Eastway Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m.
The event is hosted by multidisciplinary artist Jinna Kim.
Musicians from Charlotte Folk Society, Crystal Aria, and Stateline Community Orchestra will be leading a music workshop, which will be followed by a rehearsal and then a performance for the public.
Everything in the event is free. No registration is required. All ages are welcome. Beginners through advanced musicians are welcome.
Instrumental participants should bring their own guitar, or folk, orchestra or band instrument. Sheet music will be provided.
Schedule
- 2 to 3 p.m.: Free workshop/masterclass (doors open at 1:45 p.m.)
- 3 to 4 p.m.: Rehearsal
- 4 p.m.: Concert (doors open at 3:45 p.m.)
