Anne Springs Close Greenway, 2573 Lake Haigler Drive, Fort Mill, South Carolina, is celebrating National Trails Day and its own 30th anniversary with a full day of free access to the Greenway on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 7 a.m. to sunset.
Daily admission fees will be waived for all visitors, making it the perfect opportunity to explore the trails, take part in community activities and join the effort to reach a collective goal: log 1,200 miles—equivalent to 30 laps around the Greenway’s 40-mile trail system. Please note that parking is $5.
This Open Access Day is part of American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, a nationwide initiative encouraging communities to connect with and care for their local trail systems. Guests are encouraged to hike, run, bike, paddle or horseback ride as part of the challenge.
Participants are encouraged to record their miles to contribute toward the Greenway’s mileage goal. Each person who logs miles will be entered to win Greenway swag. In addition, each mile can be redeemed as $1 off an annual family membership, up to $12 off.
Schedule of Events
- 7:30am: Meet at the Blue Star entrance to shuttle over to the Farm & Stables entrance
- 8am: Blue Star Hike, from Farm & Stables entrance
- 10am: Trailkeepers Volunteer Orientation at the Greenway Gateway
- 10am-2pm: DIY Trail Mix Station at the Greenway Gateway
- 10:30am-12pm: Self-guided hike on marked trail with staffed educational stations (meet at Greenway Gateway)
