Moms can visit Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden for free on Saturday, May 12th, 2018, and Sunday, May 13th.
On both days the hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first 250 moms each day also receive a free potted plant.
This is an opportunity for families to enjoy a special day at the Garden together. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. families are encouraged to engage in activities and crafts, enjoy live music, take a horse-drawn carriage ride for an additional fee, stroll among the spring blooms and more. The Garden Store will offer mimosas and a selection of beverages in addition to food and snacks throughout the weekend. The Beer Garden will be open offering a selection of craft beer. Food trucks will also be onsite.
Garden admission applies and although tickets will be available at the door, we recommend that families purchase tickets online in advance at www.DSBG.org for the quickest entry. Mothers and Garden members are admitted free, $12.95 per adult, $11.95 per senior 60+, $6.95 per child 2-12 and children under two are free. On Saturday, May 12 from noon to 3 p.m., The Garden Store will offer a five-station Wine Walk throughout the Garden to make mom’s weekend even more special. The walk will be $22 per Garden member or $25 per non-member (in addition to Garden admission, but remember, mothers receive free Garden admission). Guests will receive a Garden wine glass and sample five four-ounce glasses of wine. Tickets are available at www.DSBG.org or by calling 704-825-1294. Limited tickets may be available at the Garden on the day of the event. All guests must provide a valid form of identification.
Mommy & Me Tea
The Garden will also host a Mommy & Me Tea on Saturday May 12 with seatings at 10 a.m. or 12:15 p.m. Children can share an afternoon tea with mom and/or grandma and Sproutycakes Bakery. They’ll enjoy tea sandwiches and sweets plus delicious iced teas. Moms and grandmas will receive a special gift and kids will receive a take-home kit to make mom a craft for Mother’s Day. The cost is $30 per member child or $35 per non-member child. Guests can register online atwww.DSBG.org in advance, but please note that registration ends Thursday, May 10 at noon.
