
MODA, Mecca of Digital Arts, is a state-of-the-art studio and innovation lab at Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts+Culture, 551 S Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina.
MODA is designed to facilitate digital art by providing cutting-edge equipment, software, instruction, and mentorship.
The goal is to make digital arts accessible to all. Participants use the studio for photography, videography, audio production, design, animation, coding, virtual reality and more.

Work x Flow is a relaxed, judgment-free space designed to support creative growth and connection. Whether you’re a designer, writer, photographer, filmmaker, or strategist, this is your chance to receive thoughtful feedback on your portfolio, share your ideas, and engage with other working creatives.
Hosted in partnership with Hue House and The Block, this collaborative session offers insight into what it’s like to work with creative agencies and opens the door to new opportunities within the broader creative industry.

Empathy by Design: The Blueprint for all Innovators — A UX Design Workshop

This interactive, two-hour session is tailored for aspiring and intermediate UX professionals who want to explore the role of empathy in crafting meaningful digital experiences. Through a mix of foundational insights and hands-on activities, you’ll learn how to truly understand and connect with users.

Open Studio Oasis is an opportunity for the community to utilize all of the resources MODA has to offer. Come experience a creative space designed for artists to bring their visions to life. Fully equipped workstations, an inspiring atmosphere, and a community of fellow artists await you. Unleash your creativity and elevate your digital artistry at our next Open Studio Oasis.
