Meet the impactful artists behind Echoes: Artists Respond to Carolina Shout in an interactive artists panel moderated by Dr. Jon Stuhlman. Entry to the museum, the galleries, and this event are free. Enjoy a cash bar and a small reception area to mingle with local creatives and view Echoes before the panel begins.

Join the Young Affiliates of the Mint for a one-night only exhibition in celebration of Black History Month, featuring local artists Komikka Patton, Davita Galloway and DaRemen. Each artist will showcase 2 pieces and will participate in a Q&A on Black art in Charlotte. Tickets include access to this unique experience and one beverage ticket.
Mint 2 Move Cultural Dance Night: Lunar New Year’s Eve, Casa de la Culture, & Black Music and Art

Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon with a lion dance performance, followed by Casa de la Cultura Afro Latin/x dance and narrative, tributes to Black American Music, including salutes to Aretha Franklin, Celia Cruz, and Others with DJ Carlos Lebron, and group dance lessons at 9 PM with Rumbao Latin Dance Company. Enjoy live painting by local artists throughout the night. Cash bar, complimentary favors.
Illuminating the Breonna Oya Sculpture, Yoruba Symbolism, and Artivism

Join in a moment of artivism and remembrance with sculpture Breonna Oya, created by artists Láolú Senbanjo and Chris Carnabuci. With music, singing, poetry, and tributes, Breonna Taylor and other names of fallen Blacks will be read and affirmed. The program begins on the Mint Uptown’s grand staircase, then to the sculpture Breonna Oya in the museum’s entry area, the Carroll Gallery, and it ends in the atrium.
