MakerSpace Charlotte is a community where makers, programmers, scientists, engineers, students and creative minds have access to an unbelievable amount of equipment and building space.
The 2700 square foot space is at 900 Pressley Road, which is in Southwest Charlotte, convenient to I-77.
Members get 24-hour, keyed access to the building and the tools within it. You’ll need to learn how to use the tools, or demonstrate that you already know how. Some of the areas are open to all ages, and some require an adult to accompany people under 18.
It’s an environment where you’ll have access not only to equipment you’d never otherwise get to use, but also to the support and expertise of a wide array of some of the most creative people in Charlotte. If you don’t know how to do something, you’re almost guaranteed to find someone who can.
