Chef and creator Bernard Hardison of B’s Dining Experience is bringing a new festival, Looka That Festival Right There, to The Boardwalk at University City, 8931 J M Keynes Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is free to this family friendly festival.
Expect more than 25 popular food vendors, who will be serving up their signature items, including barbecue, seafood, desserts, oxtail, and, of course, Bernard Hardison’s “Baptized Chicken.”
Large crowds are expected. Rideshare and public transportation is encouraged. The closest light rail station is the JW Clay Blvd / UNC Charlotte.
