
Light the World Mobile Giving Machine is a vending machine with a difference. When you swipe your credit card, instead of buying a candy bar you’re buying a goat for a family in a developing country or a pair of socks for a local family in need.

Available items start at just $5 or $10. 100% of the credit card fees and overhead costs are covered, so all of your donation goes to the nonprofit. Keep reading for a list of special events that will be taking place while the Mobile Giving Machine is at Promenade on Providence.
The local nonprofits that are receiving the donations are Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency and Loaves & Fishes / Friendship Trays.
Light the World will be available at Promenade on Providence, 10844 Providence Road, Charlotte, from December 13th to 17th, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with an opening night of December 12th. it will be in the center by the fountain (next to Sips & Dips.) There is lots of free parking.

Monday, December 12th
- 5:30 p.m.: Ribbon cutting
Tuesday, December 13th
- 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Home School Day
- 2:30 p.m.: Carolina Youth Chorale Dickens Carolers
- 6:30 to 7 p.m.: Panthers mascot Sir Purr
- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Meera Bhonsle, Miss South Carolina
Wednesday, December 14th
- 6:30 p.m.: Local pageant queens
- 6:30 p.m.: Carolina Panthers players Austin Corbett and Brady Christensen
- Receive a Light the World mini football with donation while supplies last
Thursday, December 15th
- 6 to 8 p.m.: Retired car of NASCAR driver Joey Logano will be on display
- 7 p.m.: Hawaiian Hula instruction and Maori poi (fire) ball performance
- Receive a glow bracelet with donation, while supplies last
Friday, December 16th
- Entertainment and yard games
- Show a volunteer your sweater for a candy cane
Saturday, December 17th
- 3 to 5 p.m.: Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. First 200 guests receive a cookie and craft.
