The 19th Annual Lake Norman Empowerment Festival (formerly called Praise in the Park) takes place Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Smithville Park, 19710 S Ferry Street, Cornelius, North Carolina.
This is a free, family-friendly event.
The festival features gospel music, featuring John P. Kee, Tim Rogers, Buff Dillard and more.
The event also includes:
- A FREE basketball clinic, hosted by Livingstone College Women’s Basketball
- Healthy food demonstrations
- Educational vendors
- Inspirational vendors
- Medical village
- More
The free basketball clinic is presented by Livingstone Women’s Basketball team for ages 5-13. Kids can sharpen their skills, gain a deeper understanding of the game and win prizes.
