April 24 to 26, 2026, is Ladybug Weekend at all Pike Nurseries locations. Get a free bag of ladybugs with any purchase, while supplies last.
Why? Because they’re good for your garden! Ladybugs eat pests like aphids and mites. They protect your flowers, veggies and herbs, providing a natural alternative to pesticides. One ladybug can eat up to 50 aphids a day!
We’ve confirmed with an associate at Pikes that the pouch will contain approximately 100 ladybugs and it’s free with any purchase (no specific minimum.)
Once you pick up your bag of ladybugs, store them in a cool, dry place like your fridge until dusk or early morning. Mist the area with water so that droplets are available for the ladybugs. Then just place the container, open, in your garden and let them crawl out in their own time.
The ladybugs that Pikes is giving away are ethically sourced by Tip Top Bio.
In addition, Pike Nurseries is hosting a class on beneficial bugs on April 25, 2026, at 9 a.m., at all locations. It’s free but registration is required.
