Several hands-on art activities await art enthusiasts of all ages at Family Day. Think outside the box by creating Picasso portrait collages in the famous Spanish painter’s cubist style in the Bechtler lobby. Continue one of the great art traditions of the season by creating your own Valentine’s Day cards with a modern art flair in the second-floor classroom. Finally, draw your own sugar skulls in the fourth-floor family gallery inspired by the exhibition Maestros mexicanos de la fotografía moderna. Don’t forget to see the new second-floor exhibition, Alfred Manessier.
Admission to Family Day is FREE for kids under 18 and $8 for adults. On Family Day, all children’s merchandise in the museum store is discounted 10%. Choose from a selection of art books, contemporary toys, activity sets and more.
