National Night Out is a program that encourages local police departments to connect with the community in a fun way, and encourages the community members to stand together for safety and awareness. The official date is the first Tuesday in August, although not all communities hold their National Night Out event on that date. Many events also take place in October.
Some National Night Out events are for the general public and some are for members of specific communities or neighborhoods.
The City of Kannapolis is holding their National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
It will take place at The Swanee Theatre, 200 West Avenue, Kannapolis, North Carolina.
The city’s police and fire department staff, as well as other community partners, look forward to meeting and interacting with you.
Celebrate with FREE food, adult Bingo, children’s games, and much more.
The Kannapolis Police Department will collect donations of school supplies that evening for Kannapolis students in grades K-12. (No school supplies will be distributed at National Night Out instead the supplies will be distributed to the schools during the Fall semester).
