Hot Glass Alley is Charlotte’s first hot glass art studio. It’s at 438 Atando Avenue, which is north of Uptown, between Graham Street and N. Tryon Street. It’s around the corner from NoDa Brewing.
It’s owned by artist Jake Pfeifer, a young artist who has been blowing glass since he was 14 years old.
Hot Glass Alley offers a variety of glass vessels, small sculptures, functional pieces, seasonal gifts, and art glass objects in several unique series and forms, as well as one-of-a-kind & corporate gifts.

Open demos are free and family-friendly. Come by and watch some glass blowing and ask any questions you may have. Free drinks and light appetizers will be served. The Open Demos are held the 3rd Friday of the month, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The next open demo is a special one! On Friday, October 20, 2023, the open demo will be done in the dark! At Blow in the Dark, watch the glass blowing process in the dark, where the gaffers are guided only by the glow of the hot glass. There will also be a costume contest. The winner will receive a glass Halloween Pumpkin as a prize.
