Something big is roaring into Gastonia! The Schiele Museum’s newest exhibit, The Elizabeth Williams Robinson Hall of Dinosaurs opens on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The exhibit is included in regular museum admission. The Schiele is at 1500 E Garrison Boulevard, Gastonia, North Carolina.
Hall of Dinosaurs is a 4,200 square foot, immersive exhibit, and is one of the largest dinosaur exhibits in the Carolinas.
Highlights of the Exhibit:
- Full-bodied prehistoric skeleton casts
- Authentic dinosaur fossils, including an Edmontosaurus that displays healed wounds from a T. rex attack
- Stegasaurus, Triceratops, Apatosaurus, and MANY MORE of your favorite dinosaurs
- Specimens unique to the Southeast, including Appalachiosaurus, the East Coast T. rex
- The return of The Schiele’s iconic T. rex in a whole new display
On Opening Weekend, September 26 and 27, 2026, The Schiele Museum is hosting Dino Days. Explore the new exhibit and then enjoy special dino-themed activities throughout the museum. Learn more here.
Hours
- Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.
Tickets
These ticket prices are for after opening weekend. On Opening Weekend, September 26 and 27, special pricing applies during Dino Days.
- Adults: $12
- Seniors (65+): $10
- Youth (3-18): $10
- Child (0-2): Free
Gastonia residents are eligible for a $2 museum admission discount, with proof of residency.
Planetarium programs are an additional $6 per person, but free for children ages 0-2.
Admission is FREE on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 4 to 8 p.m.
