Queen Charlotte is a groundhog who lives at Charlotte Nature Museum and on Groundhog Day, Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016, she will be making her weather prediction. If our official groundhog does not see her shadow then spring will come early. If she does see her shadow there will be six more weeks of winter.
Starting at 12 p.m. the event will feature crafts, story time and live animal encounters. At 2:30 p.m. the Proclamation Ceremony will take place, during which Queen Charlotte will make her prediction. After the Proclamation Ceremony, Queen Charlotte and her regal handler and naturalist, Nikki Panos, will host a Q&A.
Admission to Charlotte Nature Museum is $8, with free admission for members and those younger than two. All Groundhog Day activities are included with admission.
