The Free Store is just what it sounds like–a place where people who need stuff can get stuff, and where people who have stuff can give stuff. No strings attached. On Saturday, December 17th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Free Store is holding its 4th Annual Christmas party for the community, in partnership with Advent Lutheran Church, University City Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Area 15.
The party will be held at 1138 North Caldwell Street, in front of the blue/green house. Note: This is not the current location of The Free Store. Here’s what you’re looking for:
It’s free to attend and all the activities are free, including a bounce house, Christmas Carol singing, lunch, games, gifts for kids, pictures with Santa, and lots of fun and games. Yes, that’s free pictures with Santa!
The Free Store will be distributing coats, jackets, socks and gloves right at the party to folks who need them. Would you like to help? Bring some warm clothes to contribute. Also, if you’d like, bring donations of canned goods. The Free Store always accepts cash donations.
