The Arts and Science Council’s Culture Blocks initiative brings cultural programming close to where people live, particularly in areas that don’t typically experience many cultural opportunities.
On Sunday, January 31st, 2016, at 3 p.m. Children’s Theatre of Charlotte will present a free performance of “Danny King of the Basement” at the Arbor Glen Outreach Facility, 1520 Clanton Road. The play is about 10-year old Danny and his mom moving from place to place because they can’t scrape together enough money to live in one place for very long.
Culture Blocks is a partnership between ASC, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and is funded by Mecklenburg County. Read more about it here.
