
China Grove, North Carolina, is presenting the 45th Annual Farmers Day Festival on Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, 2026:
- Friday: 5:30 to 10 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival takes place in Hanna Park, 180 N Main Street, and along Main Street in Downtown China Grove, North Carolina. China Grove is 35 miles to the northeast of Charlotte. It’s about 14 miles from Concord and just 7 miles from Kannapolis.
Farmers Day Festival is a FREE event that celebrates community, heritage and hometown fun. It features live music, vendors, family-friendly activities, a tractor parade, and even fireworks. Everything is free except food and drink purchases and tickets to Roots & Recipes, a small bites event.
Roots & Recipes
Roots & Recipes is a small bites event within the festival where talented local chefs will create delicious dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from local farms and producers. It’s a chance to taste the incredible products grown right here in our community while supporting the farmers who make it all possible.
It takes place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 include 4 bites prepared by local chefs.

- 9 a.m.: Opening Ceremony & 45th Annual Remarks
- 9:45 a.m.: Carson Dance Team
- 10 to 10:45 a.m.: Little Mr. & Mrs. Farmers Day Pageant
- 11 to 11:30 a.m.: Tarheel Farmer
- 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.: Brian’s Grill Hot Dog Eating Contest
- 12:15 to 2:30 p.m.: Millenium Dance Collective
- 1 to 1:45 p.m.: Richard Wright Music
- 1:45 p.m.: YMCA Service Club Car Giveaway
- 2 to 5:30 p.m.: Stage Break & Vendor Loadout
- 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Local Talent Call and Roots & Recipes
- 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Live music by 20 Ride
- 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks
- 10 p.m.: Festival Closes
Parking and Trolley
The trolley is handicap accessible and air conditioned. No pets are allowed at the festival, or on the trolley.
Trolley stops & parking is available at the following locations:
- China Grove Church of God (412 N Franklin St)
- China Grove Middle School (1013 N Main St)
Trolley stops only are available at:
- S Main St/Patterson St Intersection
- N Main St/Ross St Intersection
Parking only (no trolley stops) is available at:
- China Grove First Baptist Church (302 Patterson St)
- Abundant Life Church (312 E Centerview St)
- Carolina Caring (301 E Centerview St)
- China Grove Elementary School (914 S Franklin St)
Handicap/ADA Parking:
All trolley stops (trolley is handicap accessible with a wheelchair lift)
- 221 S Main Street (directly across from Family House) – follow signage
- South Rowan Animal Hospital (502 N Main St) – Parking is not available in the concrete parking lot on Friday before 5:30 pm or Saturday before 1:30 pm. Prior to these times, parking is available in the grass overflow area directly between the hospital and 152 (Church Street).
