Watch at home as Cabarrus County celebrates the new County Courthouse, which is expected to open in early 2023. The virtual groundbreaking event will take place on their Facebook page on Thursday, August 6th, 2020, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and features live painting.

Cabarrus County invites the community to the virtual groundbreaking ceremony and celebration of the Cabarrus County Courthouse expansion and renovation project, which will feature ClearWater Arts Center and Studio artist, Kevin Harris working live on a painting of the coming courthouse for the County.
The entrance to the new courthouse will be relocated to Means Avenue in conjunction with an open public plaza.
This 5-year, 250,000-square-foot renovation and expansion project will truly change the downtown landscape while helping to accommodate ever-growing court activity. Expected opening date: Early 2023.
