Special Needs Screening: The Voyage of Dr. Doolittle (free for kids with special needs and their siblings)

Studio Movie Grill opened its second Charlotte location on December 18th, 2019. 

It’s in Prosperity Village, 5336 Docia Crossing Road, off I-485 in the Highland Creek area. The first Charlotte Studio Movie Grill is in EpiCentre.

To those versed in local-speak, the new location is where the old Bi-Lo used to be. Also, it’s in the same shopping center as the best pizza in Charlotte, Due Amici Pizza. (Don’t argue this one, friends.)

The parking lot borders the  new 1.3-acre open space, The Green at Prosperity Village.

Studio Movie Grill features luxury recliners in 10 dine-in auditoriums. It will house a full-service bar and lounge area serving a made-to-order American Grill menu and premium drinks.

Discount on Tuesdays

On Tuesdays tickets are just $5 all day. This is also the case at Studio Movie Grill in EpiCentre.

Special Needs Screenings

On a Saturday morning shortly following the release of a family movie, at 11 a.m., Studio Movie Grill will offer a Special Needs Screening. At these screenings, the lights will be up and the volume will be lowered. Children are free to move around and talk. These screenings are FREE for children with special needs and their siblings. Other family members will receive matinee pricing.

Special Needs Screenings are not available at the Epicentre location.

SMG Access

Studio Movie Grill’s loyalty program is called SMG Access.

There’s a free version, Cast, and a premium version, Director, which is $10 a year.
