Five Points Plaza, at 1803 West Trade Charlotte, is the gateway to the West End. It’s the meeting of West Trade Street, Beatties Ford Road, Rozzelle’s Ferry Road, West Fifth Street and State Street. It’s less than a mile from Uptown Charlotte and across the street from Johnson C. Smith University.
Five Points Plaza has been designed to be a welcoming space space for the community.

Charlotte Strings Collective is composed of students, faculty, and alumni from UNC Charlotte, Davidson College, and Winthrop University; students and alumni from Northwest School of the Arts; members of the Charlotte Symphony; local orchestra directors; freelance musicians; and private string teachers.
They first performed together virtually in the Summer of 2020 as a musical affirmation that Black Lives Matter. More recently, they have performed at the College Music Society National Conference, the American String Teachers Association National Conference, the North Carolina Music Educators Association Conference, the Jazz Room in Charlotte, UNC Charlotte, Winthrop University, at Bridging Musical Worlds – a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in collaboration with the Charlotte Symphony in I am Queen, a 2022 event that honored Black Women of Charlotte, in collaboration with the Fisk Jubilee Singers in a Charlotte performance, and at the 2023 Tosco Music Party.
Getting to Five Points Plaza
The easiest way to get to Five Points Plaza is on the CityLynx Gold Line. The plaza is between the Bruns Avenue and Johnson C. Smith stops.
If you’re driving, there is some on-street parking on adjacent streets, but it’s suggested that you park at a parking lot or garage along the CityLynx Gold Line and take the streetcar. Here are some parking facilities:
