Purple Alpaca Farms, at 6626 NC Hwy 67 in Boonville, offers farm tours, classes, a shop with alpaca fleece products.
The farm is about an hour and a half north of Charlotte, but if you’re on the northern I-77 corridor, it will be a shorter drive.

Purple Alpaca Farms is hosting an Easter egg hunt with the alpacas on Sunday, April 4th, 2021. There are three time slots:
- 10 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.
- 3 p.m.
General admission is $12 for all ages groups, except children age 0-2, who are admitted for free. If your child wants to participate in the egg hunt, that’s an additional $8 per child. You can go into the pasture with your child at no extra charge.
The egg hunt will start a half hour after the beginning of each time slot. Egg hunt baskets are included in the egg hunt.
The event includes:
- Feeding the alpacas (see feeding times, below)
- Egg hunts in the pastures with the alpacas (extra charge)
- Art and activity tables
- Games
- Vendor booths
- Popcorn, cotton candy, snacks and drinks (for sale)
- More!
Spaces are limited for admission and egg hunt. Event times are separated into two hour blocks to allow more people to have some Easter fun while maintaining COVID safety. Masks are required per state ordinances for individuals 5 years old and up. When you arrive for your time slot, head to the AlpaCafe to get your event tickets to redeem at the activities tables throughout the farm.
Alpaca feeding times:
- 11:15 a.m.
- 1:45 p.m.
- 4:15 p.m.
