African American Playwrights Group, in collaboration with Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts, is presenting the Playwrights Festival Staged Readings.
On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11 a.m., at CATCh, 4128 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC, enjoy staged readings of original works written by people of color.
This is a free event, but reserve your tickets.
The plays are the semifinals of the festival, and one finalist will have their stage play produced at Matthews Playhouse in the fall.

- TaMara Goode – Reflections
- Donald Hall – Black Chip, White Chip
- Alethea McCollin – Pastor Willie
