The Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte is presenting Evil Dead The Musical from September 29th to October 30th, 2022, at The Barn at MoRA, 8300 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC. Bring your own chair to this outdoor show.
As you might have seen on the news, this, sadly, will be The Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte’s final production, after 34 seasons.
The show will take place Thursday to Sunday. Tickets are $35 to $50. Purchase tickets here.
There are two special events associated with the production.
Pay What You Want Night: Wednesday, October 5th, 2022, is “pay what you want” night. The show is at 8 p.m. This event has been rescheduled from the previous weekend because of the weather.
Zombify DIY Event: Join Martin Barry the Clown before the show on October 8th, at 6 p.m, for a zombie makeup tutorial. Tickets are only $15 (plus $2 service charge) and that includes a personal makeup kit, sponsored by Morris Costumes. Follow along with Martin and transform into the ultimate evil dead! Make sure to buy tickets for the performance so that you can show off your zombie face!
This production is recommended for ages 16 and up.
When five college friends go to an abandoned cabin in the woods, their plans of jello shots and strip poker are dashed when they accidentally unleash an evil force that begins taking them out one-by-one. Blood will fly. Limbs will be dismembered. And demons will tell really bad jokes. It’s all up to Ash and his trusty chainsaw to save the day as musical mayhem descends upon this sleepover in the woods and “camp” takes on a whole new meaning.
