McGuire Nuclear Station and the EnergyExplorium are hosting some fun summer events in 2016. These are all free. Bring a picnic for your family, chairs or a blanket. Or if you’re arriving by boat, anchor in McGuire’s cove in the southern end of Lake Norman. These are free events. The address is 13339 Hagers Ferry Road, Huntersville.
June 17 – Charlotte Symphony – 8:15 p.m.
Join us on the lawn of the EnergyExplorium to hear the sounds of the Charlotte Symphony. Enjoy a picnic with your family under the stars. Or join us by boat and anchor in our cove at the southern end of Lake Norman. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
July 29 –Movies at McGuire–Star Wars: The Force Awakens–8:45 p.m.
Everyone is invited! The movie is shown on two large screens perfect for viewing by land or boat. Bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show, if coming by boat you may anchor in the EnergyExplorium’s cove at the southern tip of Lake Norman. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
