Kannapolis has a lot in store for the 2015 Christmas season. Most of the events take place at Village Park.
- Kannapolis kicks off the holiday season with its tree lighting event on Saturday, November 28th, 2015 at Village Park, 700 West C Street. This year, the Tree Lighting will feature local musicians beginning at 6:00 p.m. and culminate at 6:30 with a “special guest” in attendance to light the tree and help launch a fireworks show. After the tree is lit, the Winterland Express train will be available to take participants through Village Park to see all the light displays. The cost of the train ride is $2.
- From November 28th through December 30th (with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) enjoy the Celebration of Lights & Winterland Express. You can walk through Village Park or take the Winterland Express to view the lights. It’s free to walk through the park and $2 for the train. Roast marshmallows, make s’mores, meet Santa or Mrs. Claus.
- The Kannapolis Christmas Parade takes place December 12th, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., on the streets of downtown Kannapolis.
