Indie on Wheels is a movie series in which Independent Picture House screens movies in the community. These are free events and can also include a post-movie discussion.
inThe next Indie on Wheels take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Independence Regional Library, 6000 Conference Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
This screening will mark the return of some audience favorite shorts from the 2023 Charlotte Film Festival! This free screening includes:
REVERB, directed by Liv Boren
12-year-old Vivienne sneaks into her first concert with her brother, leading to a shocking on-stage tragedy that reopens her suppressed grief over her mother’s death.
Fallout, directed by Madison Hill
Fallout investigates a rural Appalachian community’s illness outbreak, caused by environmental contamination from a nearby US Army Ammunition Plant, Virginia’s largest polluter.
After Death, directed by Gavin Jennings Harwell
A father tidies up an unfinished life after the death of his son.
Friday Night Blind, directed by Cott Krahn and Robb Fischer
At Burnham Bowl, the mixed Milwaukee Beer Barrels Blind Bowling League emphasizes friendship, fun, and living one frame at a time. Friday Night Blind features three visually impaired bowling friends in this heartwarming tale.
The screenings will be followed by a talkback with Madison Hill and Gavin Jennings Harwell.
The content programmed for this screening contains depictions of and themes based on trauma, grief, death, and suicide.
